Computer IP address change tutorial
Hey everyone, today we are going to talk about how to change the IP address of your computer. Sometimes we need to change the IP address in order to connect to other networks or to solve network problems. But don't worry, today I will explain you in detail how to do it, so let's get started!
What's with the IP address?
First, let's figure out what an IP address is - it's like the address of a house that uniquely identifies each device on the network. It consists of a string of numbers, such as 192.168.1.1. This address is like the house number for your home, and lets other devices know where to send data.
Check current IP address
Before we start changing the IP address, let's see what the current IP address is. We have to open a command prompt (that black window) and type "ipconfig" and press enter. When you see the message displayed, you will see the current IP address in the "IPv4 Address" field.
Change IP address
Okay, now we are going to change the IP address. In Windows, we can do this through the Control Panel. First, open the Control Panel, and then find the "Network and Sharing Center". Then, click on the left side of the "change adapter settings", find your current network connection, right-click and select "Properties".
In the pop-up window, find the item "Internet Protocol Version 4 (TCP/IPv4)" and click "Properties" again. Here you will see the IP address settings. Usually, you can choose "Obtain an IP address automatically" or "Use the following IP address", or choose the latter if you want to set the IP address manually, and then fill in the IP address, subnet mask and default gateway you want to set.

For example, suppose you want to set the IP address to 192.168.1.100, the subnet mask to 255.255.255.0, and the default gateway to 192.168.1.1
IP address: 192.168.1.100
Subnet mask: 255.255.255.0
Default gateway: 192.168.1.1
“`
When you're done, click "OK" to save the settings and then close all the windows. Congratulations, the IP address has been changed!
Verify new IP address
Finally, don't forget to verify that your new IP address is working. You can open the command prompt again, type "ipconfig", and see if the "IPv4 Address" field shows the new IP address you just set.

Haha, seeing this, doesn't it seem that changing the IP address is actually quite simple? Remember to be careful when setting your IP address and try to avoid conflicts with other devices.
